Key Benefits
1) Formulated to enhance your body's joint health by increasing mobility and flexibility.
2) Delivers the nutrition your body needs to help maintain a healthy range of motion.
3) Glucosamine encourages the production of glycoproteins, which are essential to making and maintaining healthy connective tissue and joint cartilage.

Range of Motion Study:
During a 12 week study on MonaVie Active, all participants showed a statistically significant improvement in range of motion with regard to the lumbar region and knees. In addition, participants noted a significant decrease in perceived generalized discomfort at weeks 8 and 12.

I am a 38 year old athletic male who suffers from joint pain. I also push myself as hard as I did when I was in my late teens to early twenties. Mona Vie Active cuts my athletic recovery time by about 75percent. I used to play basketball for over two hours, and it would take me four days to walk normal and recovery from the high impact workout...and fun! After five days of drinking this juice (5oz per day in my case), I was able to play basketball twice in one day! I did take a really nice two hour nap between games! Now, I do not go out and push myself like that everyday, but honestly I feel great the next day where as it would have taken me three to five days to get after it again!

Joint Pain, & Arthritis:
Arthritis is a disease is caused by a misguided immune system attack on the body's own joint tissue, which leads to swelling, pain, stiffness and in some cases deformity. Perhaps what you're eating, or more specifically what you're not eating can be causing some of your soreness.

Recent findings suggest that a diet high in fruits, vegetables, legumes and certain oils aids in relieving symptoms in people with rheumatoid arthritis. After following a diet rich in fruits and veggies for three months, people with rheumatoid arthritis experienced a number of improvements not seen in people following a typical American diet high in processed foods. Some of the improvements shown include a decrease in pain, inflammation, disease activity and in the number of swollen joints.

The current results suggest that "patients with (rheumatoid arthritis) can obtain better physical function and increase their vitality" from eating a fruit, vegetables, legumes and some oils diet for three months, write Dr. Lars Skoldstam of Visby Hospital in Sweden and colleagues.

Additional studies have shown that citrus fruit and zinc may also cut rheumatoid arthritis risk. Citrus can be helpful because of the antioxidants they contain.

As we experience pain and swelling in our fingers, wrists, knees or any joint, it’s easy to jump to the conclusion that our joints are “wearing down” from use, like car parts. We may even think we’re developing arthritis. We tell ourselves that we are "getting old." But our bodies are not made up of mechanical pieces with built-in obsolescence; they are made up of living cells that can actually strengthen and grow when fully nourished and used properly.

I’ve seen many things that can lead to chronic joint pain. More often than not, it is the simmering fires of inflammation, not old age. The pain that you feel is your body’s way of telling you that it’s irritated and needs your help. So instead of brushing it off or tuning it out with a pill or two, take the time to listen.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that results in part from inflamation.

Osteoarthritis is also linked to inflamation.

Remember human beings age, and deteriorate. We are a living, breathing, "environment" made up of water, dirt, and subsequent cells. Human beings are "rusting," just as metal would rust due to oxidation. If metal parts are oxidizing, and need to come together...we would have to oil them right? In fact, we would want to provide that point of contact with as much fluid, and cleanse the area to the best of our ability. We can help to bring back a metal joint. Why can't we help to bring back a human joint?

Some "Simple" Solutions:
1) Changes here may be a simple solution. It’s also interesting that people who eat (or drink) refined carbohydrates at night are also more likely to have fluid retention and morning pain, and how changing just this one habit can turn joint pain around — almost overnight.

2) It may seem like a big leap to connect emotional stress with joint pain. We have all come to accept the idea that the body stores tension in the muscles, so it shouldn’t be difficult to accept the notion that your emotional life can impact your joints.

3) I strongly believe emotional overtones can be carried forward on a subconscious level and manifest themselves in our bodies as pain or disease in adulthood that keeps us stuck in a certain patterns. If our parents have pain, and we grew up hearing limiting words like "I am getting old," or "I am too sore..." like a needle stuck in a groove, we keep playing the same scratchy refrain. Luckily, our bodies often know better than we do what they need to be healthy — and often it’s simply a matter of gaining the strength to pick the needle up and put it on another song. We make excuses, when we really need to make a strong plan to fix the problem. Then we have to stick to the plan.

4) Weight Lifting and Stretching in very moderate forms can strengthen the muscles around the joint. As we get "busier" in life, we also become more static. As we age, we tend to use certain muscle groups much less. Just walk into a Grocery Store and you will see people hunched over, or using a scooter because they failed to maintain muscle groups and healthy joints. Do you want to be like that?

Joint pain and inflammation:
Most forms of joint pain involve some kind of inflammation — either local or systemic. When injured, a chain of events in your immune system known as the inflammatory cascade is triggered. In a careful balance of give and take, this process starts with pro-inflammatory hormones calling out for white blood cells to clean up damaged tissue and clear out infection. This is what causes the redness, swelling and pain we often see with injury.

Next, anti-inflammatory compounds take over to heal the area once the threat is diminished. When this process, known as local or acute inflammation, waxes and wanes in response to injury it’s a sign of a healthy immune system. Yet when the symptoms of inflammation don’t disappear, it tells us that your immune system is unable to turn itself off when it should.

Just as the flame of a burning fire can help or hurt, our body’s internal fire has the dual power to heal and to cause us pain. Think of inflammation like a burner on your gas stove; local injuries and infections cause our bodies to turn the flame up high in the area of the injury, while with systemic or chronic inflammation, our bodies keep the burner on simmer, even when we’re not suffering an injury.

This slow burn has been associated with range of health conditions and degenerative diseases, including asthma, allergies, skin problems, insulin resistance, irritable bowel syndrome, heart disease, Alzheimer’s and yes, arthritis.

What can slow the effects of this burn?
We are 98.6 degrees for a reason. The human "environment" or body exactly mirrors that of the "Fire Pyramid." We take in Oxygen, burn oxygen, we smoke, and give off carbon. This is oxidation. The one thing that distinctly can slow and balance out the oxidation process, is a nutrient dense diet packed with anti-oxidants.

Joint pain, nutrition and digestion:
Common problem foods associated with inflammation include citrus, corn and corn products, dairy products, gluten grains (wheat, barley, oats, rye, spelt, kamut), yeast, and eggs, as well as members of the nightshade family — tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and eggplant. Figuring out what you’re sensitive to may just make all the difference with your efforts to reduce joint pain.

Ayurvedic and Chinese medical practitioners have been using food as medicine for centuries. We’ve learned from these ancient medical practices that some common foods worsen inflammation — these foods are known as pro-inflammatory, or “hot” foods — and others “cool” the fire. Sadly, our Western diet of high-sugar and overly-processed foods is of no help. We are what we eat!!!

Overall, you can’t go wrong by favoring simple, whole foods as opposed to processed convenience foods. Adjusting your diet away from “hot” foods and more toward “cool” foods is a great way to move toward better overall health.

More specifically, there are many natural compounds found in foods that have long been known to be effective anti-inflammatories. Eating a diet rich in "nutrition" and not necessarily just packed with calories is key.

Nutrient Dense Nutrition & Mona Vie
Mona Vie is just juice. That is it. Juice.

When you drink 2oz of Mona Vie, you are getting 6.5 whole servings of fruits and vegetables for only about 25 calories. How? It is extremely "nutrient dense" juice. The Juice, and a few motivated reps are not why Mona Vie is a $2 Billion Dollar Company. In fact, Mona Vie was the fastest company to ever reach $2 Billion Dollars...faster than Google and Microsoft combined. The reason why Mona Vie is like Google & Microsoft in a bottle is because it is a Nutrient Densewhole food found in juice form...and it is really convenient.

The Acai Berry is packed with nutrients. So much so that a human being could eat the Acai for more than six months and display little if any signs of malnutrition. It is considered Nature's Number One Superfood. Mona Vie products feature the skins of the Acai Berry. The skin from this Superfood have natural occurring Omega 3 and Omega 6 Fatty Acids that among other great things, help to soften cell membranes. This is why Doctor's like Pericone and Oz on Oprah swear by the berry for "anti-aging" elements.

Açai contains concentrated levels of anthocyanins—a powerful family of antioxidants that assists in neutralizing the harmful effects free radicals can have on your body. Through an exclusive freeze-drying process, MonaVie is able to capture the vital nutrients found in this delicate fruit. MonaVie's freeze-dried açai powder boasts an ORAC score (a measure of antioxidant power) higher than any other fruit or vegetable tested to date, on a gram-for-gram basis. It is 15-30 times more powerful than anything found on the market.

The Acai Berry as found in a bottle of Mona Vie, or in a can of EMV will consistently score 1100 on an ORAC scale.

The $2 Wheat Grass Boost (Wheat grass is great) found at your local juice stop scores around 200 on an ORAC scale.

Put this in your Body:

# Dark green vegetables (including spinach, kale, and seaweed)

# Antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, as well as vitamin C and E supplements

# Raw nuts and seeds (including almonds, pecans, and walnuts)

# Omega-3-rich fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and anchovies

Don't Put or Limit this in your Body:

# Red meat from corn-fed animals raised with antibiotics and/or hormones

# Partially hydrogenated (trans) fats (found in margarine, chips, processed baked goods)

# Saturated fats (e.g., animal fats such as butter and lard)

# Corn oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil or soy-based oils

# Soft drinks, including both diet and regular soda and fruit juices

# All forms of sugar, including natural and refined

# White flour and other processed grains

# Most fast-food and prepackaged meals

Digestion:
Poor digestion can lead to systemic inflammation and increase your joint pain.

Adopt a healthy diet rich in natural anti-inflammatories:
Choose a “cooling” diet of richly colored fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and omega-3’s. Add a high-quality, mercury-free omega-3 fatty acid supplement, as well as a high-grade vitamin/mineral complex

Mona Vie, Digestion, and Nutrition:
Mona Vie is drug and chemical free. It is a "wild" product, and it directly fits into the "cooling" diet for joint health. You can not find anything on the market with the nutrient density and benefits found in 2oz of this juice. The Acai Berry is lean, packed with fuel, and also nutrient rich with things like the Omega 3 & Omega 6 Fatty Acids...and it is liquid.

I mention "Liquid" because other supplements, and vitamin complexes are sold to us in pill form.

4oz of Mona Vie per day is equal to 13 servings of "nutrient dense" fruits and vegetables.

One interesting thing is that because Mona Vie is "nutrient dense," you can really put about half of that amount, or 2oz into your body per day, and do yourself a great favor!!!

Personally, I use Mona Vie active for the natural Anti-inflamatories, and Glucosomine, because I have not found anything remotely close in the stores. So I am more about 5oz per day, throughout the day.

If you pour 3 multi-vitamins onto your carpet...they will remain there for years. If you pour 2oz of Mona Vie Active on your carpet you will piss off your wife because Mona Vie will absorb immediately into the flooring. Well...it does this at a cellular level too! You will pee out most of your multi-vitamin because it is not absorbed by your body!!!

Mona Vie is a daily cleanse. If you drink Mona Vie every day, you will always be cleaning out your digestive track. This is key for many reasons to also include avoiding certain forms of disease such as Colon Cancer. Don't be "reactive" with this...running out to the store once a year to buy the "7 Day Cleanse." That psychology is what we are trying to avoid here in America. The key to better all around health including joint health is to be consistent. There is no quick fix. We are what we eat!!!
